The Tenant Farmers Association (TFA) was formed in 1981 by a
group of farmers who felt their interests were not being forcefully
represented by existing bodies. Since then it has grown to be the
strongest voice for tenant farmers.
The SFA is a not-for-profit organisation representing small
farmers across the UK. The association was formed in 1997 by a
group of farmers who were frustrated by the reluctance of major
farming unions to recognise the concerns and support the needs of
the small farmer in their policies and activities.
